Product Owner, Core Automation
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact - on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we're pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
In Core Automation, we work with an Agile delivery methodology for our OT product development. We strive to keep our clients, users, and their daily challenges in mind during the entire design and development process. We are looking for you who comfortably move between crafting product roadmaps, stakeholder alignment, and supporting the team with WIs in the backlog, and who loves to help us bring next-generation control system applications to life for our marine portfolio.
About the job
As a Product Owner, you will be bridging the gap between the product manager, stakeholders, and the development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive refinement of work items to meet customer needs.
- Maintain and prioritize development backlog and ensure deliveries according to commitments for development, supply chain, rollouts, or support.
- Stakeholder management and collaboration across product groups within the marine OT portfolio.
- As preparation for incremental deliveries: define user stories, provide clarification, set team objectives together with the team and prepare for demos.
- Optimize the team performance, together with agile team coach and focus manager, by sharing best practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers to find the best HW solutions for the product throughout its lifecycle.
What you know.
You have a solid understanding of complex OT solutions and product management. You bring 2-4 years of experience as a Product Owner or Scrum master and are fluent in Agile development methodologies. Knowledge in control systems, embedded SW, or electrical design deliveries are appreciated but not a requirement. To be successful we also expect you to have an engineering or data science education, bachelor's, master's degree, or similar, and are fluent in English, verbally as well as written.
Who are you?
We believe you are passionate about translating complex needs to contemporary solutions with amazing user experience, and where you orchestrate, align and communicate with stakeholders and team. You possess strong business acumen, analytical skills, and a customer-centric mindset and we trust you enjoy networking by building and maintaining relationships across teams, departments, and organizations.
What's in it for you?
We offer a challenging position in a global, open, and friendly environment. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval's future success. The nature of the job also means that you will cooperate closely with many different parts of our organization, building both a broad business knowledge as well as a global network of colleagues. You can expect around 25 days of travel annually.
